Clarinet Lessons Buderim

Christensen's Music

Clarinet Lessons Buderim Sunshine Coast

Why Our Clarinet Lessons Are The Best !

  1. Students learn to play fun songs by ‘ear’. Most teachers and schools only teach the reading of music and don’t extend into other important playing skills.
  2. We develop a student’s natural rhythmic abilities. After all, rhythm is an essential part of playing any musical instrument.
  3. We teach improvisation and general creativity on the clarinet. This is so widely overlooked by music teachers.
  4. Students learn the reading of music, carefully staged so they understand and grasp music reading.
  5. Music Theory is taught thoroughly and supported with fun theory quiz books.
  6. Christensen’s produce our own song books with play-along accompanimentsThis is enormously successful for developing a player’s overall musical abilities, plus .. practice is much more fun playing along to accompaniments. (supplied as a CD or MP3 files)
  7. The Teacher (Rod) is an experienced and dedicated clarinet teacher (see below)

For Children Our Small Group Classes Are Ideal !

Children love learning in our small group classes where they can interact and feed off each other with fun playing and theory activities. Our group instrument classes are limited to 2 to 3 children maximum. In addition our learning material is compatible with other instruments so we can even mix different instruments within the same class which develops a child’s musicianship skills and confidence at playing with other young musicians.

Is Your Child Old Enough To Learn The Clarinet ?

Depending on a child’s physical size we usually teach children the clarinet from 8 years of age. Free assessments can be given if necessary.

For Adults We Offer Individual Clarinet Lessons

Adults often feel self conscious learning in a group situation and we have found from experience that individual lessons work much better. This way you can go at your own pace. Regular or casual lessons are available.
